Abraham (AKA Abe) Lincoln Bigelow (or Biglow) who moved to Ashland from Ohio, bringing the Telegraph with him. The "Bigelow Mansion" still exists and is owned by ancestors, on Vaughn street somewhere. Abraham was born in Ohio, on April 27, 1861 and Married Laura Willard, also of Ohio. Their children all lived in Ashville, WI, My Great Grandmother, Dee Anne Biglow also. Dee anne married Bert Beglinger (Eloped and can't figure out where in Wisconsin they Married).

Isaac Lott was born in Romney Twsp. Kent Co Ontario, 18 Jan 1852, moved to Modena, WI when he was 16. He married Lucy Jensen of Modena 15 Apr 1877. They had two sons Robert Peter b.16 Jul 1878 and Ernest Lewellen b.11 Dec 1880. They moved to Ashland in the mid 1880's, adopted two children, Alice Gertrude in 1886 and Emil in 1896. Isaac worked as a contractor/carpenter. They lived in Ashland till 1908, when Isaac and Lucy moved to Mellen with Emil. Robert Peter married Nellie O'Neill and lived in Ashland till 1926 when he moved to Ontnogan. Ernest married Mary Ford. That family stayed in Asland till the 1930's and moved to Ladysmith, WI.

Joseph John Maslik was born in Chlebnice, Czechoslovakia 12/08/1893 and married Emilie Anastasia Lavota born in Dubrava, Czechoslovakia 07/10/1903. They married at St. Florian's Church, Ino, Wisconsin, June 21, 1921. Their children were: John, Agnes, Mary, Christina, Emily, Elizabeth, Josephine, Anna, Andrew, Joseph. Joseph died 03-26-1974 in Ashland at the family farm. He is buried at St. Florian's Cemetary, Ino. Emilie died 03-27-1974. She is also buried as St. Florian's.

Theodore Platz was born July 1845 in Lincoln Co., Ohio. He married May 31, 1874 In LeSueur Co., Minnesota to Sarah Elizabeth Knight. Theodore died Nov. 19, 1925 In Cozy Valley, Mellen, Ashland Co., WI and Sarah died Feb. 5, 1916 in Mellen, WI. Both are buried in Union Cemetery in Mellen. They had seven children.

I am researching my mother's line. Her maiden name is Rohn and her parents lived in Odanah. Her father was a section foreman for the Chicago and NW railroad and they all lived in a house provided by the railroad. It's still there! There were five sisters born and raised that house. Frank and Frieda Rohn moved to Ashland about 1940.

William Gustav Waynert and Anna Eriksdotter were married in Ashland October 20, 1890. They homesteaded in the Marengo Lake area. Children born in Ashland: Ernest W. born1891, George Halvor born 1893, Harry Oscar born 1894, Hilda Ottellia born 1896, Ruth Anne born 1898, and Oscar born 1901. They moved to Broadview, Saskatchewan around 1904. A brother to William Gustav Waynert, named Anders Robert Lind and his family also settled in the Marengo Lake or Marengo Falls area of Wisconsin.
