Mystery of the Month - February 1998

Who were the parents/siblings of
Isaac Wells b: Cir 1709, Warwickshire, England?

On 05 Oct 1725 Isaac Wells of the parish of Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire became indentured to John Cooke of London for four years to be served at the Maryland plantation of Mr. Cooke. According to the indenture, Isaac was at the time 18 years of age. His will was dated 1746 Prince George's County and probated 1748 in Frederick County, Maryland. He held and lived on property known as "Wells' Invention" where the current city of Jefferson, Maryland is located.

Isaac's will names his wife Ann who received the property called "the Lowlands" which apparently adjoined "Children's Chance" and who later married David Dunbar & moved to North Carolina by 1751. It also named children John who received a portion of the property "Children's Chance" and was then under 22 years of age; Isaac Edwards who received "Wells Invention"; Isaac (possibly the same as Isaac Edwards, but in each case Isaac Edwards was named as such) who received part of "Children's Chance"; Benjamin who also received a part of "Children's Chance"; Samuel who received part of "Children's Chance", is later found at Sandy River, Chester County, South Carolina in 1755 and who married Dorcas Tabitha Huey); Mary; Elizabeth and Ann.

Who were the parents of this Isaac Wells b: Cir 1707 probably Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire? Did he have any siblings who either remained in England or also imigrated to America? What details are available on any of these individuals and their descendants/ancestors?
