Adelson, Nancy: Nancy is a Jewish Genealogical Society of Washington State (JGSWS) Founding Member, President, Program Chair and JOWBR State Chair. She researched over 4000 family members. She wrote/published "A New York City Boy". She has presented at International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) conferences and locally. Nancy earned the WSGS Award for Outstanding Efforts in the Preservation of Important Washington State Genealogical Records, IAJGS Salutes and JGSWS Outstanding Community Service Awards. She earned The Trustee Life Long Learning Award and The Governor Dan Evans Award for Innovation for her teaching abilities while working as tenured Professor of Real Estate and Business at North Seattle Community College for over 20 years. Fees are negotiable based on travel time and expense. Equipment needs: LCD projector and screen for Power Point presentations. Baylor, Stephen Eric: Steve is a past president of the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society and the Washington State Genealogical Society. He currently serves on the Washington State Historical Records Advisory Board and represents Region 1 of WSGS. Topics for presentations include an overview of the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Library, the Washington State Library and Archives system, conducting oral history interviews, researching city directories, society planning and management, basic federal census research, and researching the Washington State death index. Steve can also serve as a facilitator for a local society goal setting board retreat. Fees for speaking and travel are minimal and negotiable.

Bodien, Rosie: Rosie's areas of expertise are Czech and Slovak research and culture. She has been the Coordinator for the Western Washington Czech Slovak Interest Group for 10 years. She has been to the Czech Republic seven times. Rosie is a member of the CzSlo Genealogical Society International and has been involved with the "Czech it Out" program for 14 years. Rosie is willing to travel to areas 5-8 but would require hotel/motel accommodations for one night. Rosie would like to provide handouts at her talks and needs access to an LCD projector. Fee requirements are negotiable such as a 1 year membership to an organization plus the cost of gas. Breland, Claudia: Claudia has 35 plus years of genealogy research experience and just recently completed the NGS American Genealogy: Home Study Course. Claudia writes for Archives.com and is knowledgeable regarding online genealogical research, libraries and archives, historical newspapers and continuing education. She is a member of NGS and APG, and is the secretary of the Puget Sound Chapter of APG. Her fee is negotiable. She will require an LCD projector, and back up laptop to her own. She will provide handouts and is willing to travel within 2-3 hours of her home. Expenses for travel will need reimbursement for travel outside the 3 hour limit. Burchell, Kenneth W.: Kenneth is a writer and internationally recognized specialist on Thomas Paine and the history of American democratic reform. Presentations include discussion of the techniques of historical and genealogical research. Thomas Paine presentations are available as general, biographically based presentations, specialized [ex. The Adventure of Thomas Paine's Bones, etc] or as full costume living history. Regional presentations center on the 1855 Inland Northwest Indian Wars, Smohalla, Kamiakin, Isaac Stevens, and the 1855 Walla Walla Treaty. A Freemason and freemasonic historian, Ken offers a range of freemasonic subjects. Inquiries welcome. Travel expenses additional and handouts are included.

Faulkner, Susan Davis: Susan is President of the TriCity Genealogical Society and Oral History Program Coordinator of the Franklin County Historical Society. Her speaking history includes Oral History Interviews for Genealogists, Internet Genealogy, U.S. Census Non-Population Schedules, Origination of Marriage Customs, and historical Franklin County. She authored �Images of America � Early Pasco� which covers the founding of Pasco from 1879 through 1930. She will speak on any genealogically related topic with advanced notice. Handout masters will be made available for duplication.

Johnson, Jim: Jim is the Director of the Heritage Quest Research Library in Sumner, WA. Topics include: 1.) Internet for Genealogy (2 hrs); 2.) Canadian Research (2 hrs); 3.) Deciphering Genealogical Handwriting; 4.) Western Migration During the Gold Rush Era; 5.) Animap and maps on the internet; 6.) Mayflower and Other Early Ships; 7.) Using Family Tree Maker; 8.) Military Records; 9) Cemetery & Death Records (2 hrs.); 10.) Church Records (2 hrs.). Other topics presented on request. Jim has his own LCD projector and wireless internet hookup. Handouts are included. Many presentations include a CD for the participants with internet links. Fee is negotiable. Travel may include additional expenses like motel.

Kozy, Mary Kathryn: Mary has been doing genealogy for 30 years and is the former Webmaster and Education Chair for the South King County Genealogical Society. Topics include organization, all aspects of web research, using DNA to help your research, genealogical records, and research trips. Other topics can be presented upon request. Please see Mary's current list of lectures on her web site. Travel expenses outside and unusual expenses inside (such as ferry tolls) Regions 1 & 2 are negotiable. Society is responsible for making handouts from masters. An LCD projector for all computer related seminars is critical and Internet lectures require a live internet hookup. No Sunday seminars.

Lenzen, Connie, CG: Connie is a past Board for Certification of Genealogists President (2005-2008). She is a past NGS director (2004-2010) and the lead editor and writer of the revised NGS Home Study Course. She received the NGS President�s Citation for service to that organization. She has served on the boards of local and state societies and has provided volunteer service for many other societies. Topics include church records, adoption, naturalization, probate, tax records, use of the internet, and family traditions as well as numerous other areas. Morrison, Steven Waltz: Steven is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. He is a past President of the Olympia Genealogical Society and was an adjunct faculty at The Evergreen State College for seven years. Steve�s obtained advanced genealogical training at SLIG in 2010; and at IGHR 2005 and 2010. He�s traveled to Ireland and Britain to research Quaker ancestors. Steve�s current topics include: ? Oakes, Shirley Penna: Shirley is past President and past Vice President of the Eastern Washington Genealogical Society, and has served as Region 1 Representative and WSGS Conference Chairperson. Lecture topic list is available upon request. Fees are negotiable based on amount of travel necessary.

Parks, Lethene: Lethene's educational background is in history and library science. She is currently the Library Director for the Clark County Genealogical Society and teaches a variety of classes for them. She has been researching for over 50 years and teaching and writing on a wide variety of family history topics for the past 30 years. Special interests are migration patterns and routes, maps, writing personal and family history, and preservation. Topics and fees are negiotiable. Handouts provided.

Phillips, Donna Potter: Having worked with genealogical teaching, researching and writing for over 30 years, Donna is qualified to speak on a long list of topics inlcuding a current list of Internet-research topics. Let's talk!

Sparr, Laura Pemberton: Laura is Past President of WSGS and has spoken at many locations. She will speak on any genealogically related topic with advanced notice. Fees are negotiable. Handouts are an extra expense.

Stroschein, Eric: Eric has been engaged in genealogical research for 25 years. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Genealogical Research (NIGR). He specializes in research at the National Archives and Records Administration. He speaks on subjects that include Military Records (Civil War, Indian Wars, War of 1812, and Revolutionary War), Federal Land Entry Files (Homestead Act 1862, Timber Culture Act, Cash Sales and Military Warrants), Japanese Internment Records, and State Department Records. Fees are dependent on length of lecture, distance travelled, handouts required. Equipment needs are an LCD projector, screen, and handouts.

Summitt, Margaret Robe: Margaret is a member of Sno-Isle Genealogical Society. Her topics include: Writing Your Family History; The Pioneer Robe Family; The Oregon Trail; Frontier Presbyterians and Missionaries; DNA Research in Genealogy; Editing a Genealogical Periodical; Frontier Military Records; Whitmans and Spaldings; Jesuits in Old Oregon; and Quilts and Genealogy.

Witherspoon, Robert G.: Bob is Past President of WSGS and Whatcom Genealogical Society. Topics include: Overlooked Census Data - Non-Population Schedules and Special Censuses of Veterans; County Courthouse Records in Washington State Regional Archives Centers; Who�s Kathleen?
