This surname index includes every surname found in the 1920 Census for Ferry County. The "YGI" page contains those entries where I couldn't make even a GUESS as to the first letter of the surname (thus the name of the page - "Your Guess Is As Good As Mine"). Perhaps the other information in the YGI entries will provide some clue as to the identities of the individuals - if you can pick out one of YOUR folks on the YGI list, DO email me and let me know the name, and I'll remove the individual from the YGI and add the surname to the correct alpha page.As noted in the above table, ED 49 (Meteor Precinct) is numbered differently from the other EDs. The results look like six "mini-precincts", each starting with household #1. Mr. Bourgeau, the enumerator, also could have used a new writing implement, and apparently used MUD rather than ink...
The "STRAYS INDEX" was derived from the Every Surname Index, and includes information for individuals who were born outside of the United States. It is NOT a list of every person "from Away" who resided in Ferry County in 1920.
