The Ferry County 1920 Surname Index Project pages contain the following information:
PRECINCT, ENUMERATION DISTRICT, "HOUSEHOLD" NUMBER, SURNAME, GIVEN NAME, RACE, STATUS ("head of household", relationship to "head of household", etc.), AGE, PLACE OF BIRTH, FATHER'S PLACE OF BIRTH, MOTHER'S PLACE OF BIRTH and OCC.
Each appearance of a particular surname in a given "household" is listed. A "?" after a name means I'm not sure about the spelling; asterisks are used where individual letters in the name are not clear. In several entries, the numbering sequence (or "status") is confusing; an asterisk is added to indicate this.
