Articles Relating to Czech-Slovak Research

Greetings!

Well, let me say we all had a great time. Twenty-two of us gathered to celebrate Thanksgiving! Halusky, cabbage rolls, tomato gravy on potatoes, veprove zeli & brambory, poppyseed cake, cranberry salad etc, etc, etc!!! Thanks to the people who brought the apple cider, too!

Lederle Tenney was our guest speaker. She is a friend of Mike Mecham's who works for the Hutchinson Cancer Research Center researching the family lines of 75 colon cancer patients, looking for cancer deaths, history in family lines. She gets paid for doing her hobby!! She had ancestral charts showing the incidence of cancer in family groups. Very interesting information that shows us how important family health history is to us now.

Ed Schultz, Mike Cook and mom Ruth, Carolyn Gough and mom Louise Lynn were our new folks this time. I will get more later on whom they are researching. Collie Liska shared photos from Liska family graves in PA, Eric Taylor brought the picture of his grandmother whose tomato gravy we enjoyed! Joann Pasek brought two lovely photographs from her family.

NEXT MEETING!!! PUT THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW!

JANUARY 31, 2009 9:30 TO NOON

Happy Researching!!!

Rosie
