Articles Relating to Czech-Slovak Research

Greetings!

We had a super time; great ethnic food, Czech & Slovak music, fun networking, a talk from Rachael Laxton about her Bellevue Sister City Exchange to Kladno in the Czech Republic, news about Czech language classes in the Seattle area, and a chance to see some new books to help with research. Whew! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE THIS A SUCCESS! Mike Cook and Bettelinn Brown took pictures for us. Marjorie Bianco Vernon came through with needed supplies for the table.

To my Facebook friends, more pictures are posted.

Next meeting is Jan. 22nd, 9:30 to Noon at Fire Station #22 in Kirkland. We will be discussing Kadastral Maps and do the regular sharing. We have the challenge of finding these maps online, both Czech and Slovak maps. Plus share any other maps you have. The meeting can have a map theme.

Feb 5th is a special event meeting at the regular time and place. Lee James will be giving his presentation on research documents. Bring documents you have. Does anyone have an overhead projector we could borrow for that meeting? The second half of the meeting will be our culture meeting. Share!!!

Norb has put our meeting calendar for 2011 on our website. Czech it out! Thanks Norb!

Happy researching!

Rosie
