Well, all I have to say is that was an interesting meeting!!! Seventeen of us shared the room with the Driftwood Sculpture group due to a double booking!!! We all did our best!

THANKS TO ALL THE GREAT TREATS PEOPLE BROUGHT! Wow, was that fun!! Three new folks came today. Kae Ellingson heard about us from Karol Osusky. Kae is researching Kratochvil & Karell in the Caslav area. Marilyn Fijalka Beale is researching Fijalka, Pipa, and Smatko from Nizny Kruvov near Kosice. Marilyn is active in the Tacoma Slovak Catholic Church. Dick Volin is researching Volin and Slemin. A big welcome to you all.

Janie Reiswig shared a big lovely very old picture of her grandparents. In a month she leaves for Prague!

Jo Herber brought garnet earrings and a pin, sparkling cut glass vase and bowl, a cross stitch picture of the a wedding procession, painted eggs, and more to share for culture.

Joann Pesek brought what she didnt' have a chance to share last time. Two were Madeleine Albright's books which sparked Joann to read and share more about the Holocaust. Joann had this very cute book titled "Lech, Czech i Rus" By Katarsyna Matlowska.

Paula Hughart has made an album of old family pictures to bring as a gift to her relatives when she travels to Moravia in May. Great idea.

Joan and Harv Knizek are going back to the CR again this summer.

Helen Low brought her CZECHS IN AMERICA book that she just bought.

Jan Roediger is working on finding her ancestral village.

Ed Sulc (Schultz) could not use his new computer projector, so next time he will and we will research internet maps to help us do research.

Steve Soucek is reading the American Experience magazine on Nebraska.

Martha Soltesz got help from Ed on computer information.

Jan Roach started a discussion on research websites.

Jari & George Kelnar helped with translations.

Check the website https://sites.rootsweb.com/~wacsig/ or I will send an update. And Czech out our website. That is thanks to Norb Ziegler!!!
