The General John Strong Chapter is the youngest Vermont chapter organized June 5, 1999 at the John Strong Mansion at Addison, VT.  The chapter namesake was the first resident of the town who brought his family up the frozen highway of Lakes George and Champlain in a sledge pulled by two horses in February of 1765.
