m. rehabilitated 22 February 1835, St. Joseph's, Burlington, Vt., to Marie Anne Laurent, dau. of Joseph Laurent and Marie de Masse. Another record calls her Mariam Laurent; yet another Marie Anne Janvier (Laurent dit Jeanjoffe, probably). The priest who officiated at the marriage, Fr. Amable Petit-homme, declared legitimate the children who had been born to this couple before this ecclesiastical benediction. Mary Ann/Marie Anne Laurent was b. c. 1808/12, Canada.
