Job Davis

From Carol Myers Rymes:

I have a copy of the will of my 3x Grandfather Job Davis who was married to Susan Coulter, the daughter of Peter Coulter. He was born about 1770 or so, and died about 1859. Job's son was William Davis who always signed himself William (of Job) to distinguish himself from the other William Davis' in the area. Job Davis also had two other sons named Hiram and Josiah. They are mentioned in his will, but I have been unable to find much about them.

I also have a copy of a list of his slaves with their names. They lived fairly near Occoquan, Prince William County, Va. I have not been able to figure out where their farm was, but think that it was near an area called Bethel.

I hope that this information will help someone who is searching for information about their ancestors.

The fact that some of the names are unusual might help to make a search easier.
