Will for Ivey Brown

    In the name of God Amen I Ivey Brown of the parish
 of Portsmouth and County of Norfolk being very weak and
 sick in body but of perfect mind and memory - thanks be
 given unto God calling unto mind the mortality of my
 body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once
 to die do make this my last will and testament that is
 to say principally and first of all I give and
 recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God that
 gave it me and my body I commend to the Earth to be 
buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of 
my executors nothing doubting but at the general 
resurrection I shall recieve the same again by the 
mighty power of God and as touching such wordly estate 
where with it has pleased God to bless me in this life I 
give divise and dispose of the same in the following 
manner and form, first I give and bequeath unto my 
beloved wife Pembrock Brown the use of my land and 
movable goods during her life or widowhood and at her 
death to be sold the movable estate and to be equally 
divided amongst all my children Them I give and bequeath
 unto my son Bartlett Brown my land with the houses and 
orchards there on and if he should die without heirs of 
his body to fall to his brother Nathan Brown but if both 
should die the same to be equally divided amongst the 
surviving children I also give my son Bartlett Brown one 
horse the choice of my horses to him and his heirs also 
one of my guns the choice of them and the other one I 
give to my son Nathan Brown to them and their heirs also
 my boat I give to Bartlett I appoint consititute and 
ordain my beloved wife Pembrock Brown and my son 
Bartlett Brown the sole executors of this my last will
 and testament all and singular my lands 
[undecipherable] and tenements by them freely to be 
[undecipherable] and enjoyed and I do hereby utterly 
disallow revoke and dissannul all and every former 
testaments wills lagacies and bequests and executors by 
me any wise before named willed and bequeathed ratifying
 and comfirming this my last will and testament in
writing where I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 
seventeenth day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred 
and ninety two/

At a court held for Norfolk County the 21st Day of 
January 1793 This last will and testametn of Ivey Brown 
and John Bollick witnesses therunto and ordered to be
 recorded Pembrock Brown one of the executors therein
 named having taken the oath and given bond and security 
according to law certificate for obtaining a probate was
 granted her in due form
