St. Francis Cemetery, Smithfield Ave., Pawtucket, RI Established in 1871, maintained by the Diocese of Providence. This is a very large cemetery, still in use today, containing about 105 acres and about 125,000 burials. This is by no means a complete transcription, but focuses primarily on the Irish burials. The vast majority of the transcribing has been done by Beth Hurd, and we greatly appreciate her contribution. Some transcriptions were completed by Kevin Murphy, and other other gravestones have been submitted by family members, as noted. Beth has also submitted some gravestone photographs.
