4. James McAreavey (William) was born in May 1867 in Killaghy, Armagh, N Ireland. He was christened on 23 May 1867 in Killaghy, Armagh, N Ireland. He died on 18 Jan 1934 in Providence, RI, USA. He was buried in Jan 1934 in St Francis Cem, Pawtucket, RI, USA. James married Sarah Lavery daughter of Thomas Lavery and Sarah Finnegan in 1897 in , N Ireland. Sarah was born in 1873 in Lurgan, N Ireland. She died on 17 Jan 1941 in Chapin Hsptl, Providence, RI. She was buried in Jan 1941 in St Francis Cem, Pawtucket, RI. 

James McAlreavey and Mary Clark were sponsors at baptism of James. Mormon microfilm # 0926089. James was a blacksmith for thirty years. He worked at this occupation until Jun 1933. He resided at 116 Pettis Street, Providence, RI at the time of his death. He had diabetes and died from pneumonia. He was buried by Thomas & Walter Quinn Inc. He entered the US in 1910. He was a naturalized citizen. On 3 Jan 1920, he and his wife were renting at 45 Corliss Street in Providence, RI. He was working as a blacksmith in a tool shop.

Sarah resided at 78 Pettis Street at the time of her death. She had been living in the US since 1910. The informant for her death was a nephew, Thomas McAreavey of 78 Pettis Street, Providence, RI. The cause of death was of a pulmanary/ cardiac condition. She was a widow at the time of her death. James Gallogly was her undertaker. 
On 3 Jan 1920, she resided at 45 Corliss Street in Providence, RI. On 10 Apr 1930, she resided at 116 Pettis Street in Providence, RI.

James and Sarah had the following children:
     10 M i. John McAreavey died in Ireland. John died at age sixteen in Ireland.



11 M ii. Joseph McAreavey was born in 1897 in Lurgan, Armagh, N Ireland. He died in , RI, USA. He was buried in , RI, USA. 

Joseph entered the US on the same ship as his cousin Frank McGill.; the Kaiserin Auguste Victoria; arriving 9 Sep 1920; sailing from Liverpool to NY. His uncle Joe Lavery was on the same ship. They were headed for his mother's house in Pawtucket, RI. He listed his uncle William McAreavey, Kilmore, Milltown, Armagh, Ireland as his closest relative in Ireland. His passage was paid by his father.
In 1923 he is a helper and living at 47 Corliss Street in Providence.



5. Felix McAreavey (William) was born in May 1869 in Killaghy, Armagh, N Ireland. He was christened on 21 May 1869 in Killaghy, Armagh, N Ireland. He died on 4 Oct 1945 in Rhd Islnd Hsptl, Providence, RI, USA. He was buried in Oct 1945 in St Francis Cem, Pawtucket, RI, USA. Felix married Margaret Lavery daughter of Thomas Lavery and Sarah Finnegan in , N Ireland. Margaret was born in 1869 in , N Ireland. She died on 3 Nov 1945 in St Jsph Hsptl, Providence, RI, USA. She was buried in Nov 1945 in St Francis Cem, Pawtucket, RI, USA. 

Felix was a retired laborer for the Rhode Island Tool Company at the time of his death. He last worked at that occupation in 1935. He died from an autopsy finding of a subdural hematoma. This injury was the result of an automobile accident on North Main Street, Providence on 30 Sep 1945. His residence was 78 Pettis Street, Providence, RI. The informant for his death was his son William of 78 Pettis Street Providence. James Gallogly was his undertaker. Sarah Byrne was the sponsor for Felix at his baptism. See Mormon microfilm # 0926089. Felix entered the United States in 1912. 
On 13 Jan 1920; he, his wife and two sons were living at 20 Campbell Terrace in Pawtucket, RI. He is working as a blacksmith.
In 1923, he is a laborer and living at 47 Corliss Street in Providence.

Margaret, a widow, resided at 78 Pettis Street, Providence, RI at the time of her death from peritonitis. The informant for her death was her daughter Mary McGann of 78 Pettis Street, Providence, RI. Her undertaker was James Gallogly. See Mormon Microfilm # 0926089 for baptism. Margaret entered the United States in 1912. In 1920 she was employed in a lace mill.

Felix and Margaret had the following children:
+   12 M i. John William McAreavey was born on 2 Aug 1891. He died in Apr 1968. 
     13 F ii. Mary McAreavey . Mary married McGann
     14 M iii. Thomas McAreavey was born in 1895 in N Ireland. 

Thomas entered the United States in 1912 and became a United States citizen in 1918. In 1920 he is a laborer in a machine shop, and living with his parents on Campbell Terrace in Pawtucket, RI.
In 1923 he is a laborer and living at 47 Corliss Street in Providence.

+   15 M iv. Joseph McAreavey died in 1928.

John had the following children:
     22 M i. Henry McAreavey was born in 1899 in Lurgan, Ireland. 

Henry left Glasgow, Scotland on the Ship Columbia and arrived at the Port of New York on 5 Nov 1922. He was aged twenty-three and was coming to the home of his uncle James McAreavey who was living at 118 Pettis Street in Providence, RI. Henry's home at that time was Lurgan, N Ireland. His trade was as an Iron Fitter. His father John McAreavey's home was 21 Hill Street, Springburn, Glasgow, Scoland. This information was on the Ships Manifest for the Ship Columbia available at Ellis Island.




Third Generation
10. John William McAreavey (Margaret Lavery, Thomas) was born on 2 Aug 1891 in N Ireland. He died in Apr 1968 in Providence, RI. John married Anne Costello in , RI, USA. 

William "Willie" was the best man at the wedding of Frank McGill in 1925. He entered the United States  in 1910. Did he become a US citizen in 1918? 
In 1920, he is a laborer in a machine shop, and living with his parents on Campbell Terrace in Pawtucket,  RI.
In 1923 he is a laborer and living at 47 Corliss Street in Providence.

They had the following children:

+ 17 F ii. Ann Marie McAreavey was born in 1929. 


13. Joseph McAreavey (Margaret Lavery, Thomas) died in 1928. Joseph married Mary Gallagher . Mary was born on 29 May 1892 in Ireland. She died in Feb 1987 in Pawtucket, RI.

17. Ann Marie McAreavey (John William McAreavey, Margaret Lavery, Thomas) was born in 1929 in Providence, RI. Ann married Robert Jones in Providence, RI. 

Jones inherited family's farm in Ireland and spends part of the year over there.
