Patrick Cafferty was born in Lietrim, Ireland 3/17/1833. He came to America at age 12, first to Fishkill, NY then
to RI where he owned multiple units of property and worked for 30 years for the New
York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, from which he retired. He died Dec. 1, 1916. He married Margaret Gilheeny/Gilheany of Providence, who was
born in Ireland also. Together they had 10 children.
