About Mobilization

Kleinliebental, Sept. 1, 1904.
Yesterday the reservists of the Grossliebental district received their conscription cards and tomorrow Sept. 2 they have to report for military service in Odessa. In total there were 253 people from this area called up. Most of them are fathers with 1-5 children which they now have to leave together with their farms to their women. - Today the local community ordered to give 500 Rubles. From this sum everybody who is conscripted receives 10 Rubles and also this year's family tax to the amount of 6 Rubles is waived for him. The poorest families of the conscripted men will also receive additional 1500 Rubles from the local community besides the aid of the county administration.
