The following photographs were taken by the German "Luftwaffe" (the German Air Force) during WW2. The negatives are surprisingly sharp and can be enlarged so that even single houses can be identified. Therefore these photographs are an excellent source to find out how Kleinliebental and the area around Kleinliebental really looked like just a few months before it was left by the German families. The following two photographs are the two best of about six aerial photographs of Kleinliebental that can be found in the National Archives.
If you are interested in obtaining a copy of one of the photographs you can either contact one of the photo-reproduction companies at the National Archives (e.g. King Visual at
www.ktv.com) or you can contact me (Peter Mock at [email protected]) as I own a copy of each of the two negatives and might be able to make a copy for you.
