Ukrainian Roots Genealogy Webring is separate and distinct from the
normal UGS membership. Membership to UGS requires a separate
application submission.

What is Ukrainian Roots webring?

The webring is community of web pages that have to do with Ukrainian genealogy research. The pages are personal home pages of people who want to share information that they have accumulated of their family history and Ukrainian heritage and/or sources of information that would be of help to others doing research into their Ukrainian family history.

What are webrings?

"Webrings are communities of websites, united by a common interest and organized into a circular "ring" of mutual links, together with some technology to make it all work. Links on each page permit you to go from site to site, to travel the entirewebring, eventually returning to the page from which you started.  Links also permit you to access the list of member sites and to join the webring."

Because genealogy research is one area that promotes interaction between people in genealogy research, there are no restrictions as to the number of genealogy webrings you can belong to.

Before joining the Ukrainian Roots Webring, please read the requirements below and insure that you understand them. You can also view the FAQ if you have any additional questions.

Joining the webring.  (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

There are few requirements to join this webring. To join you must meet these simple guidelines:

  • You must have a web page that you are able to completely maintain.

  • You must place the HTML you will be sent after you have submitted your Site's Info. The HTML code must be placed on the page that you have submitted.
    If you are NOT able to have the navigational code added to your the submitted web page, please DO NOT join.

  • Your page must be related to Ukrainian genealogy or Ukrainian family trees.

  • No pornography or other offensive material or text; final decision and discretion is the Ukrainian Genealogical Society's.

  • Linking directly to any of our graphics is NOT allowed; webring sites that do this will be automatically removed and banned from the webring community. Save graphic to your own server.

  • You must enter your site's information using the form below. If you find later that you made an error, you can come back later and use the Member Login and enter your assigned Site ID & password to make modifications.

    IMPORTANT: You have 7 calendar days to place the webring HTML fragment code, that you receive via e-mail, onto the web page that you submitted. After this time your submittal will be deleted from the queue and you will need to resubmit your site information.
    If your site does NOT meet the requirements above, it will NEVER be moved into the webring.

If you feel that your web site meets the requirements above, following the instructions below to submit your site.

  1. Copy the graphic to you computer and upload to the server where your web pages are stored. To copy to your computer, right-click your mouse button and select 'Save As' or 'Save Picture' to save to your own computer.


  2. Next, complete the submission form below. You will receive an e-mail confirming your site submission and the webring HTML fragment code that you must place on your web site. The system will auto-check for the code and, if present, will add your site to the webring community.
