The 9th day of June 1863 Aged 63 years.

Thomas ASHPLANT, the son of John ASHPLANT and Sarah FOLLAND (abt 1779-1830), was baptised at Beaford, Devon on 15 Nov 1800.

Grace JUDD, the daughter of George JUDD (1774-1846) and Rebecca SMITH (abt 1769-1844), was baptised at St Giles in the Wood on 6 Dec 1796. She married Thomas ASHPLANT (1800-1863), the son of John ASHPLANT and Sarah FOLLAND on 28 Oct 1822 at St Giles in the Wood.

Rebecca ASHPLANT, daughter of Thomas ASHPLANT (1800-1863) and Grace JUDD (1796-1867), was baptised at St Giles in the Wood on 21 May 1826. She married Thomas Hodge FRIEND, a machinist in 1852. Thomas, the son of Philip FRIEND (1789- ?) and Grace HODGE (1788- ?) was baptised on 7 Dec 1823 at Dolton, Devon. Thomas and Rebecca occupied Strawberry Cottage in the hamlet of Kingscott.

Elizabeth Ann WARE, the daughter of Elizabeth WARE (1833-1889), was born in St Giles in the Wood in 1864. In 1887 she married Thomas FRIEND, the son of Thomas FRIEND (1823-1905) and Rebecca ASHPLANT (1826-1885). Thomas was born in St Giles in the Wood in 1863.

Arthur FOLLAND was born in St Giles in the Wood. He married Elizabeth CLARKE, daughter of Anthony CLARKE (abt 1836-1903) and Mary Ann CROOK (abt 1840-1879) at St Giles in the Wood in 1901. Elizabeth was born in St Giles in the Wood in 1870.
