Edom Historical Museum

The Edom Museum was established over a decade ago after the town of Edom had acquired the historic old Edom Courthouse which needed a great deal of restoration work. It is located in the heart of downtown Edom, a charming little town filled with specialty shops, on Hwy 279. Edom has attracted a large contingent of artists whose works are available in the shops. The museum contains a large collection of old photos of early 1900's, memorabilia from C.W. Morris, who had a general merchandise and drug store from about 1912 to the late 1950's. It has Civil War era letters and a roster of many Van Zandt County veterans.
