Funeral Home records are a valuable addition to our family history research. There is a group of volunteers who are working with the local funeral homes to extract their records and make them available for researchers in the Van Zandt County Library of Genealogy and Local History. However, their project is not complete so the funeral homes themselves are the best source. But the library should be checked first, and this can be done by one of our volunteers checking the collection. Just contact Sibyl Creasey if you would like a lookup.
