Welcome

to Van Zandt County's

Men and Women

Who Served During World War II

The information on this page was extracted from a book entitled "The Men and Women in World War II from Van Zandt County" published following World War by the Universal Publishing Company of Dallas. The book states: "We have made every effort to obtain the pictures and names of all men and women in the Armed Forces from this County. We realize, however, that our goal has not been attained and we sincerely regret any exclusions of names, as well as other errors, which may have occurred." We have found that many were omitted.

This book's dedication: "To the memory of those men and women who so nobly gave their lives for their country, we dedicate this book. We bow our heads in their memory and offer a silent prayer that they have not died in vain."

If you have a relative or ancestor who was omitted from this volume, we would be happy to place the information and/or photos on this page as submitted material. Just Sibyl with the information.

A very large thank you goes to Mary Achterhof of Yorba Linda, CA for assisting with typing the following pages. It is a massive job made easier because of her excellent work.
