Petition for Post Office in Upland

Dear Sir: The undersigned citizens of Upton County, Texas, respectfully make this application for the location of a post office in said county and State of Texas. Upland, this being the name of a store owned by E. B. Coatright situated 43 miles south and six miles west of Midland, Texas, on Section 28, block Y.

Midland, Texas, is the nearest post office to which we have access and it makes quite a hardship to our people, that is, nearest P. O. on railroad.
