As a
member of the Children of the
Confederacy, in meeting the educational,
memorial, benevolent, patriotic, and
historical objectives of the
organization, you may attend events and
might even help host a few.
The
events represent our Confederate
heritage and include attending
Confederate marker dedications, meeting
with other local CofC chapters or
attending a UDC chapter or SCV camp
meeting, attending/hosting CofC General
and Division level conventions,
attending events in observance of
Confederate holidays, and much more.
The
events can be local, out-of-town, and
even out-of-state. This
page lists events hosted by the Lee's
Traveller Chapter as well as other
important events hosted by CofC
chapters around the State and
out-of-state. The different Divisions
of the CofC alternate hosting the annual
General CofC Convention so this would
be an example of an out-of-state event
(unless Texas is hosting!)
These
events offer opportunities for the
members to learn more about the CofC and
their Confederate heritage. All members
are invited but not required to attend
these functions.
