In 1900, John "Jack" Bratton (1849-1929) deeded a 35 x 350 foot tract of land adjoining the Cumberland Presbyterian section on the east to C. F. Bratton and Andrew Bratton, trustees, for the purpose of burying Bratton family members. The transaction is recorded in Tarrant County Deeds, Vol. 524, page 624. There are 82 descendants or relatives of Richard and Francis (Brasier) Bratton buried in this section. The earliest dated grave marker is for the twin son and daughter of this pioneer couple who came to southeast Tarrant County in 1852. The marker is dated 4 Aug 1857 - 22 Sep 1857. It is one of several Bratton graves moved to this site from the Estes Cemetery in 1913.
