Hi, My name is Sally Windrup and I have ancestors who lived in Scurry County. Some of the Petersons still live out in Hermleigh. My great-great grandfather was the first Postmaster in the now vanished community of Wheat. The farm and the house where the Post Office was is still owned by a descendant, Billy and Pat Davidson, now Pat James who's grandfather was a brother to my grandmother. They were the children of Thomas Jefferson & Alice McCall Peterson. George McCall was the Postmaster there. I'm sure you know there is a historical marker in front of the house. I have some pictures of the farm, the marker, and some of the graves out in the Hermleigh cemetery. I also have several old photos, etc. that I would like to share. There is one of George McCall and one of Thomas Jefferson in his general store. My great-aunt and the last surviving granddaughter of George McCall was Odetta (Dessie/Det) Peterson McMillian. She just died last Thanksgiving.

of it from a regular black and white copier and it was on regular typewriting paper.

This is T.J. and his son, George. Birdie's father and brother.
This is the children who attended the old Wheat School. Arrows are pointing
to Birdie and Uncle George Peterson. Doll is also there, but is I don't have her
marked. Birdie is my grandmother, George and Doll are her siblings.Taken about 1905-06
