1942-2002

ARLINGTON - Linda White, a native of Snyder, died Friday, Aug. 9, in an Arlington hospital after a suffering a stroke.

A memorial service for Mrs. White, 59, is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Alban's Episcopal Church under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.

Born Sept. 28, 1942 in Snyder, Mrs. White was reared in Snyder. After she married Paul D. White, they moved to Dallas in 1960. They later moved to Houston and then to Arlington.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Paul White; two daughters, Kelli White and Lisa Ireland, both of Arlington; a son, Bryan White of Arlington; two brothers, Jerry Surratt and Morris Surratt, both of Snyder; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Linda Surratt White, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, in Arlington.

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Albans Episcopal Church, 911 S. Davis St. in Arlington.

Memorials: the family requests that donations be made to the Linda White Memorial Fund benefiting the Arlington Police Department. Memorials can be made through the family.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her husband and family. She will also be remembered for the impact she has had on her neighborhood and community.

Survivors: Loving family, including her husband of 42 years, Paul White; children, Kelli White, Lisa Ireland and husband David, Bryan White and wife, Denise, all of Arlington; brothers, Morris and Jerry Surratt of Snyder; very dear friends, Doris and Don Erwin of Waco; grandchildren, Matt and wife, Shannon, Dwayne, Kevin, Amber, Jason, Andrew, Thomas and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Kourtnee and Cody; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
