Defer of Snyder, died Sunday, Aug. 27 in Henrietta. Funeral service for Mr. Treadwell, 75, was set for 11 a.m. today in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Ryan Fraser, minister of the Henrietta Church of Christ, was to officiate. Burial was to follow in the Hope Cemetery. Born Feb. 28, 1925 in Buffalo Springs, he married Ruby Mobley on March 13, 1948 in Henrietta. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he served on the USS Izard and frequently attended ship reunions. Mr. Treadwell retired from Lone Star Gas Company after 35 years and was a member of the Henrietta volunteer fire department. A member of the Church of Christ, he was a former member of the Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Commerce. Survivors also include his wife, Ruby Treadwell of Henrietta; and a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Robert Defer of Carlsbad, N.M.
