SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Mrs. Thomason 1916-2000 Frances Mildred Thomason, retired Hermleigh school librarian, died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at her home in Hermleigh. Services for Mrs. Thomason, 84, are pending at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Born Jan. 4, 1916 in Justin, Tex. to Horace Miller and Matilda Frances Hall Miller, she was married to Henry Thomason who died in 1964. She also was preceded in death by a son, James Thomason, in 1970. Mrs. Thomason was active with the Hermleigh schools for more than 40 years. She was active in the Pyron Demonstration Club and Hermleigh Canasta Club. She also cooked for the Hermleigh Lions Club for several years. Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Walker of Huntsville, Ona Higgins of Abilene and Linnie Travis of Midland; three sons, Floyd Thomason of Fort Worth, Lloyd Thomason of Grand Prairie and Moody Thomason of Snyder; a sister, Lorena Gardner of Kopperal, Tex.; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made to a Hospice organization.
