Jane Tanner 

1911-2000 

ABILENE – Odessa “Jane” V. Tanner, a former resident of Snyder, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, in an Anson nursing center. 

Funeral service for Mrs. Tanner, 89, was set for 4 p.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rocky Burrow was to officiate and burial was to follow in the Rochester Cemetery. 

Born in Athens, Tex., she married Thomas H. Tanner in Rochester. He died in 1973. She also was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. 

A member of the Rochester Church of Christ, Mrs. Tanner had worked with her husband managing motels in Snyder and Anson. She also worked in the housekeeping department at Shady Oaks Nursing Home for 11 years. 

Survivors include a brother, E.E. Bristow of Hawley; and several nieces and nephews.
