SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Reina Salazar 1913-2000 LAMESA – Raymunda “Reina” Salazar, the mother of Diamantina Munoz of Snyder, died Sunday, Sept. 10, in Covenant Medical Center. Funeral service for Mrs. Salazar, 87, was set for 10 a.m. today in the Primera Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial was to follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Born March 15, 1913 in Odem, she married Pedro Salazar on Oct. 22, 1933 in Sinton. He died in 1983. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Olga Salazar, in 1951; and by a son, Ray Salazar, in 1998. Mrs. Salazar moved to Lamesa from Sinton in 1951, and she was a member of the Primera Baptist Church. Survivors include six other daughters, Eva Echavarria, Aurora Ybarra and Gloria Vera, all of Lamesa, Earnestina Hernandez of Williams, Calif., Sandy Quintana of Plainview and Elsa Cooper of Lockney; a son, Adam Salazar of O’Donnell; four sisters, Petra Moreno of Sinton, Amalia Garcia of Plano, Maria Ramos of Calallen and Lala Lopez of Denver; one brother, Ignacio Moreno of Mission; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
