Barbara Pierce 

1942-2000 

BENJAMIN – Barbara W. Pierce, the mother of Jeff Pierce of Snyder, died Tuesday, 
July 25, in an Abilene hospital. 

Funeral service for Mrs. Pierce, 58, was set for 3 p.m. today in the 
Benjamin Ex-Students Community Center with Terry Cartwright officiating. 
Burial was to follow in the Benjamin Cemetery. 

Born in Victoria, she married Sammy Pierce in 1959. Mrs. Pierce worked as 
a postal clerk and was a member of the First Christian Church and Sorosis Club. 

Survivors include her husband, Sammy Pierce of Benjamin; 
two other sons, Keith Pierce of Springtown and Wade Pierce of Lubbock;
 a sister, Pat Waldron Garza of Knox City; and one grandchild.
