SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Tanis Pesina 1917-2000 FLOYDADA -- Funeral service for Tanis Pesina of Plains, sister of Josefina Cervantes of Snyder, was set for 3 p.m. Sunday in the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Floydada. The Revs. Alejandro Ruiz Jr. and Pedro Reyes were to officiate and burial was to follow in Floydada Cemetery under the direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Pesina, 82, died Friday, Sept. 22, at her residence. Born on Nov. 9, 1917 in San Saba County, she married Tiodoro Garza in October, 1934 in San Saba. He preceded her in death in 1968. She moved to Plains from Floydada in 1999. Mrs. Pesina was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union and Templo Gethsemane Assembly of God. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joe Lupe Garza, and a brother, Paul Asebedo. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sandy Garza of Floydada; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Christina Guzman of Floydada, Anita and Ernesto Rocha of Plainview, Nickie and Isaias Jimenez of Plains, and Mary G. and Paco Garcia of Floydada; three brothers, Raymond Asebedo of Midland, Johnny Asebedo of Silverton and Frank Asebedo of Fort Worth; another sister, Justa Juarez of Silverton; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
