Mary Nichols 

1922-2000 

SWEETWATER – Funeral service for Mary Lee Nichols was set for 2 p.m. today in the Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Bagby officiating. Burial was to follow in the Roscoe Cemetery. 

Mrs. Nichols, 78, died Tuesday, Oct. 24 in Ennis. 

Born in Roscoe, she married Coy L. Nichols in Snyder. He preceded her in death. 

A homemaker, she was a member of the Fourth and Elm Church of Christ, and also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

She also was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Jettie Smith; and a brother, Hollis Smith. 

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Blake of Ennis and Doris Stubblefield of San Antonio; a brother, Max Smith of Houston; and three grandchildren.
