Mrs. McDaniel 

1925-2000 

RUIDOSO, N.M. – Margaret “Granny” McDaniel, a former Snyder resident, died Saturday, Aug. 5, in Ruidoso. 

Graveside service for Mrs. McDaniel, 74, was set for 10 a.m. today in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel. 

Born Dec. 2, 1925 in Stanton, she moved to Ruidoso from Snyder in 1958. 

A homemaker, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Rushing. 

Survivors include five sons, Victor Rushing and Kenny Johnson, both of Snyder, Harold Rushing of Ruidoso Downs, Billy Rushing of Plainview and Ricky Johnson of Ruidoso; a daughter, Deretha Rushing of Ruidoso; seven brothers, B.C. Guynes of Wickett, Billy Guynes, Donnie Guynes, Ray Guynes, Walter Guynes and Tommy Guynes, all of Snyder, J.T. Guynes of Alto; two sisters, Sue Lock and Shirley Hazel, both of Snyder; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
