SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Olan Moore 1923-2000 MIDLAND – Olan Thomas Moore, a former resident of Snyder, died Tuesday, July 25, at his home in Midland. Funeral service for Mr. Moore, 77, is set for 10 a.m. Friday in the Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Ronnie White officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Born May 24, 1923 in Roby, Mr. Moore was reared in Snyder and graduated from Snyder High School. He attended the University of Nevada in Reno and married Bobby Rae Derryberry on March 11, 1945 in Midland. During World War II, he was a U.S. Air Force pilot. Mr. Moore was co-owner of Rotary Engineering for 30 years and also was associated with Imco Services and Advance Consultants Corporation. He was a member of the Golf Course Road Church of Christ and the Petroleum Club of Midland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson and Mary Lou Stevenson Moore. Survivors include his wife, Bobby Rae Moore of Midland; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy D. and Barbara Moore of Waco; his daughter and son-in-law, Vickie M. and John Jackson of Denton; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 this evening at the Ellis Funeral Home. The family requests memorials to Midland Christian School, 2001 Culver in Midland, 79705.
