SNYDER DAILY NEWS http://www.snyderdailynews.com/Stories/index.htm Estelle Michels 1920-2000 KNOX CITY - Estelle Holcomb Michels, the sister of Edna Davis of Snyder, died Sunday, Aug. 27, in a Stamford nursing home. Funeral service for Mrs. Michels, 80, was set for 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church in O’Brien with the Rev. Bill Trice officiating. Burial was to follow in the Rule Cemetery. Born in Jud, she married W.D. “Bill” Holcomb in 1936. He died in 1982. She married Jon Michels in 1988. Mrs. Michels was a nurse for the hospital in Knox City for 27 years, and she was a member of the O’Brien First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, John Michels of Knox City; two sons, Bill Holcomb of Rule and David Holcomb of Stamford; four stepdaughters, Mildred Dadney of Hilltop Lakes, Gloria Descoteaux of Mansfield, Lois Smith of Placentia, Calif.; and Gohnnye Graft of Athens; a stepson, J.W. Michels of Wichita Falls; another sister, Helen Connell of Meridian; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
