Joe Medford 

1909-2000 

SAN ANGELO – Joe Medford, the grandfather of Jenny Pinson of Snyder, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, in Shannon Medical Center. 

Graveside service for Mr. Medford, 91, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa. 

Born March 22, 1909 in Anson, he married Frances Hutchinson on Sept. 2, 1937 in Paris, Tex. 

Mr. Medford moved to Odessa in 1939 and was employed by West Texas Rig Co. and by McCain Rig Co. He was a member of the Odessa First Baptist Church for 56 years. 

Mr. Medford and his wife moved to San Angelo in 1995. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ruth Medford; two brothers, Gervaise Medford and Perry Medford; and two sisters, Louise Hardeman and Opal Hobbs. 

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Noble of San Angelo and Janette Gardner of Lawton, Okla.; a sister, Imogene Teague of Lamesa; two brothers, Seldon Medford of Clarksville and Jim Medford of Kerrville; three other grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, including Wade Pinson, Garrett Pinson and Reid Pinson, all of Snyder.
