Alice Head 

1900-2000 

Alice Head, former Snyder resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Lubbock. 

Service for Mrs. Head, 100, is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Head’s son, K.S. Head Jr. of Milano, will officiate. Burial will follow in Snyder Cemetery. 

Born on April 25, 1900 in Scurry County, she married Kleber S. Head on Jan. 10, 1919 in Snyder. He died in February, 1987. 

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, five sisters, two daughters and one son. 

Mrs. Head was a retired farmer and rancher where she worked beside her husband for many years. 

Survivors include three other sons, J.D. Head of Friona, Frank Head and Bill Head, both of Lubbock; two daughters, Neva Irene Clark of League City and Joan Head of Lovington, N.M.; two sisters, Ima Jewel Penn and Dollie Jones of Ogden, Utah; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
