Drue Dunn 

1906-2000 

KERRVILLE – Drue Alonzo Dunn, a native of Scurry County, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, at his home in Kerrville. 

Graveside service for Mr. Dunn, 94, is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Garden of Memories with the Rev. Ricky Burk officiating. 

Born Feb. 9, 1906 in Dunn, he moved to Midland in 1928. He married Mary Magdalene “Peggy” Alverson on Dec. 14, 1931 in Carlsbad. She died in 1988. He married Doris Ferguson on July 9, 1989 in Kerrville. 

Mr. Dunn served in the U.S. Army from 1942-46. After military service, he returned to Midland and worked as a certified public accountant until moving to Kerrville in 1965. 

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and past president of the Kerrville Host Lions Club. 

Survivors include his wife, Doris Dunn of Kerrville; and a brother, Ollie Dunn of Lubbock.
