Thelma Dedmon 

1909-2000 

Thelma Dedmon of Abilene, aunt of R.H. (Hub) Evans Jr. of Snyder, 
died Thursday, July 27, at a local medical center. 

Service was set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories
 with the Rev. David Crumpton officiating. Burial was to be in Elmwood Memorial Park. 

Born on Nov. 24, 1909 in Nacogdoches County, Mrs. Dedmon moved to the Abilene area in 1927.
 She married Mac Dedmon in Abilene on Dec. 31, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1964.
 She was a homemaker and a member of View Baptist Church. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Monroe Evans and
 Nancy Louella Clark Evans; three brothers, Albert Evans in 1993, C.B. Evans in 1998, 
and R.H. Evans Sr. in 1998. 

Survivors include two nieces, Janice Smith of View and Nancy Heuerman of Merkel;
 two other nephews, Jim Evans of McAllen and Allen Evans of Thurber; and a sister-in-law,
 Katie Evans of Abilene. 

Pallbearers were to be Hub Evans Jr., Allen Evans, Gary Heuerman, Jason Heuerman,
 Mark Smith, Tyler Smith and Gary Don Evans.
