Seaton Darlin, a resident of Scurry County since 1976, was set for 4 p.m. today in the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Tom Holcomb, minister of the East Side Church of Christ, was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Snyder Cemetery. Mrs. Darlin, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, at her home in Snyder, following a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 4, 1914 in McCaulley, she married Walter D. Darlin on Nov. 27, 1932 in Spur. He died on March 15, 1997. Mrs. Darlin was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She lived in Lubbock and Brownfield before moving to Snyder where she was a member of the East Side Church of Christ. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Era Bratcher. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Cynthia Darlin of Snyder and Walter Bruce and Mary Lou Darlin of Burleson; two sisters, Cora Rose Jones of San Angelo and Julie Woodard of Brownfield; four brothers, B.D. Seaton, J.C. Seaton, Ira E. Seaton and Bradley Seaton, all of Brownfield; three grandchildren, Sherry Hernandez of The Colony, Kenneth Wayne Darlin of Lubbock and Casandra Darlin of Snyder; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Hernandez and Michael Hernandez, both of The Colony.
