Kathryn Dabney 

1937-2000 

Kathryn Dabney, who worked with her husband in his paint contracting business in Snyder, died Sunday, Sept. 3, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock following a lengthy illness. 

Funeral service for Mrs. Dabney, 63, is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Bell-Cypert-Seale F uneral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Day, pastor of the Ave. D Baptist Church, will officiate. 

Graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Tahoka Cemetery in Lynn County. 

Born March 8, 1937 in Slaton, she married Wesley Dabney on Aug. 24, 1956 in O’Donnell. She attended the Baptist and Pentecostal churches, and also had worked in a bank in Tahoka. 

Survivors include her husband, Wesley Dabney of Snyder; a daughter, Vicki Burton of Snyder; a son, Steve Dabney of Granbury; a sister, Da Onne Curry of Malakoff; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers include Jonathan Burton, Michael Burton, Steven Burton, Alan Curry, Greg Curry, John Douglas Curry and honorary pallbearer, Bryan Burton.
