Monte Wike, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Matador, was to officiate. Arrangements were under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown, a resident of Snyder the past four years, died Thursday, Sept. 14, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 6, 1906 in Nachogdoches, she married Curtis Brown on March 8, 1925. He died on Aug. 10, 1970. She also was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bessie Wade; and a brother, Harold Wade. A longtime resident of Odessa, she was a clerk at The Model Shop for many years. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Virginia Wade of Snyder; a sister, Lois Reed of Weatherford; two nieces, Mary Lou Marx of New Orleans and Carol Jeter of Carrollton; a nephew, Jim Reed of Weatherford; and two great-nephews, Ian Marx and Chris Jeter.
