Funeral service for Mr. Barrier, 67, is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Trinity Memorial Park. Born Dec. 6, 1932 in Snyder, Mr. Barrier was an U.S. Army veteran. He was retired from Texaco and was a horseshoer and a Jehovah’s Witness. Survivors include his wife, Alice Barrier of Big Spring; a daughter, Janie Risinger of Edgewood; a son, Jimmie Barrier of Big Spring; his father, Chancey Barrier of Big Spring; three half-sisters, Virginia Barrier and Mary Jo Freeman, both of Ohio, and Zoe Padilla of Trinidad, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
