Robert J. Kadura

Robert J. KaduraRobert "Bob" J. Kadura was born in Red Rock, Texas to Joseph and Mary Hoffman Kadura. The youngest of twelve children, Bob spent his early years working on the family farm. He attended Sacred Heart School and was a member of the Rockne community until he left to join the Navy prior to World War II. His service record was distinguished with combat at Pearl Harbor, Midway and Iwo Jima. He served on the USS Northhampton, USS Rochambeau, USS Whitley and USS Midway until the Armistice. After the War, he returned to Texas, married Regina "Jeanie" Kruciak and settled in San Antonio. They have two children, Robert W. and Gayle.

Bob was recalled by the U.S. Naval Reserve to serve in the Korean War. He returned to civilian life again working for the U.S. Postal Service and eventually formed his own real estate brokerage, Bob Kadura Realtors.

Bob and Jeanie moved to the Rockne Community in 1984 after retirement. They both loved the outdoors and enjoyed the quality of county life. They especially enjoyed getting back to "roots" as well as making new friends.

Bob was a generous donor supporting all RHA activities.
