Refugio Timely Remarks: "Above are members of Refugio's
crack volunteer fire department. With the exception of two or three
who moved away since the picture was made in 1933, the personnel of the
department is unchanged. They are as follows:
Back row, left to right: B.A. Johnson, Francis West, Ted
McCauley, John Bailey, Irvin Hausmann, J.S. Modlin and Mike O'Donnell.
Front row, left to right: J.C. Johnson, J.S. Ryals, Dick
Dowling, E.J. Freeman, Jack Thomas, T.J. Wilkinson and G.J. Halepeaka.
