World War I

RICHARD LEE BRISCOE was killed in action November 24, 1918 and was buried in the Meuse-Argonne  National Cemetery. He was a Private in Co. B, 360th infantry. The American Legion Post of Pecos is named for him.

HUDSON, W. A. (I found this name in the Standard Blue Book Texas Edition 1921 p. 74. No other info given)

World War II

ACOSTA, PASQUAL B., a PFC in the Tank Corps, was killed in action August 10, 1944 in Mortain, France.

ALEXANDER, ROBERT LEE, a Second Lieutenant in the Air Corps, was killed in a crash at March Field, California, June 8, 1943.

BAKER, ROBERT ORA, rank unknown, was a member of the 31st Infantry. He was killed in March of 1942 in Bataan, the Philippines.

BERKSTRESSER, GEORGE BILL, a T/Sgt. in the Air Corps, was killed October 1, 1943 in a bombing mission over Germany.

CHAVEZ, FRUTOSA R., was in the infantry and was killed June 6, 1944 in France.

COPE, HORACE LEE is listed as being killed in action, but there is no further info on him.

CURTIS, HENRY HARDIN 'Hinkey', JR. AMM 3/c in the Navy, was killed in May of 1943 in a bombing crash.

DIAZ, BONIFACIO M. an MP in the army, was killed in an accident at Pueblo Army Air Field in September of 1944.

DIAZ, JOSEPH , a PFC in the infantry, was killed in august of 1944 in New Guinea.

DURDIN, M. A., a paratrooper and a Sergeant in the 504th Airborne Infantry, was killed July 26, 1943 in Sicily. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

FLOYD, A. PAUL, PVT of the 116th Regiment, U. S. Infantry, was killed October 5, 1944 in Aachen, Germany.

GUNTER, JACK, also a paratrooper, was killed July 4, 1944 in France.

HEREDIA, CATARINO is listed as killed in action but no further info is available.

HILL, JOE DELBERT, Corp. was killed in 1944 in Aachen, Germany. Believed to be in the infantry.

KEHOE, GEORGE, is listed as killed but I have no further info on him.

LARA, JUAN was a member of the 45th Division, Infantry and was killed in 1945 in Germany.

MORA, BERNADINO D. was killed January 19, 1944 in Belgium.

OLGUIN, FRANCISCO A. PFC was killed December 2, 1942 in New Guinea.

ORTEGA, FRANCISCO B. a private, was killed June 1, 1944 in Berlin, Germany.

POWERS, JIM, PFC, another paratrooper, was killed in Italy in 1944.

ROMERO, JOSE C. , a private in the infantry, was killed in June of 1944 in Burma.

SCOTT, C. W., CM 2/c in the Navy, was killed in May of 1942 on the USS Simms in the battle of the Coral Sea.

SUBIA, FERNANDO M. a PFC, was  killed March 22, 1945 in the European theater and awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.

URTADO, FRANK F., a PFC in the 141st Infantry, was killed November 11, 1943 and awarded the Purple Heart.

VALENCIA, REGINO S. was killed December 31, 1944 in Europe.

VEJIL, ALBERT, PFC, was killed April 13, 1945 in Bahmenoht, Germany.

VILLABOBOS, ROGELIO was killed June 6, 1944 with the infantry in France.

WILLIAMS, CHARLES Fire Control 1/c in the Navy, was killed October 15, 1944 in Luzon, the Philippines.

The Korean Conflict

GOMEZ, RUBEN J., a Master Sergeant in the paratroopers, was killed November 2, 1950 in Korea.

HOOD, WALTER J., SGT., who served both in the army and navy, was missing in action in Korea in 1951.

RUSSELL, THOMAS J. was   killed November 4, 1951 on the USS Antietam in the South Pacific.

 

 

The Vietnam Conflict

 

BRADLEY, LARRY A.  a member of Co. D, 3rd Battalion, 21 Infantry, was killed January 7, 1970 in the Vietnam village of Chau Lom. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, Silver Star, Purple Hear, Republic of Vietnam Military Merit Medal and the Gallantry Cross with one palm leaf.

EXUM, OTHA WELDON, PFC, was killed February 8, 1969 in a truck accident at Fort Leonard Wood.

GONZALES, MANUEL M., was killed December 10, 1967 in Bong Sun, Vietnam.

HARRISON, WILLIAM M., a naval Warrant Officer, was killed February 6, 1969 in Vietnam. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross with Oak Leaf, the Air Medal with 18 oak leaves, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Theater Medal and Korean Medal of Valor.

HENRY, RICHARD L., was killed June 24, 1968 in an accident on maneuvers at Fort Ord, California. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

JERNIGAN, RICHARD LEE

JUAREZ, JOE MANUEL, PFC, was killed December 10, 1968 in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart.

PEREA, ERNEST SALVADOR, SP/5, 101st Airborne Infantry, was killed March 26, 1968 in Hue, S. Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for Valor.
