Mr. I.N. Foster Dies From Injuries Sustained When Thrown From Buggy
The people of Alba and community were shocked Sunday upon hearing of the death of Mr. I.N. which occurred at the home of his son, Homer Foster, near Alba Sunday. No one knew of his being ill or having received injuries which brought about his death about noon Sunday. Last Friday afternoon as he was driving along the road leading from the highway to the Speer mine his horse became frightened at a hole in the road and made a lunge forward, jerking Mr. Foster from the buggy. He held on to the lines and went on to his home later, not thinking he was hurt or feeling any pain or had affects from the mishap. He became ill Saturday night and Dr. Farrington was called, but his condition became worse and he passed away at the time stated above.
Mr. Foster was born Nov 29, 1852, making him within a few days of 77 years of age. He married a Miss Turner who died in February of this year. Nine children were born to the union, six boys and three girls. Six of these survive, as follows: S.R. Foster, C.E. Foster, T.C. Foster, Homer Foster, Mrs. J.W.
