This Centennial issue of the paper is largely about people for it was they who made the progress enjoyed in our land and they are living in this issue.  Half-forgotten incidents in the lives of neighbors and friends and re-told or recalled by another story that is read and thus, the times of earlier settlers are relived.

It is regrettable that all information contained is not completely accurate but as far as possible, it is as it was given to the paper.  Some mistakes are unavoidable, considering the many hands it has to go through, and sometimes, due to the many years that have elapsed since the occurrences.

If families who should have been represented have been left out, it is entirely unintentional and, was because we had no information to use.

The paper is dedicated to all pioneers, both living and dead who gave unselfishly of their time, money and sometimes their lives to build where nothing existed before.  The churches, schools, homes and even the roads we travel are the result of their planning and efforts, and for them we are grateful.
